It's a shame

I have not yet adopted a dog from the APR but have been looking on this site for a while. I have a 14 year old dog who is the love of my life. We are seriously considering adopting a dog from the APR because there are so many precious creature who need human love and help. I am crushed that so many are returned. If you dont think you are ready for a new member of your family please think twice and three times before getting one of these special creatures hopes up by taking them home only to be returned later. These babies have been through enough horror to last a lifetime. So PLEASE dont adopt one unless you are absolutely sure this is the route you want to take. Thank you.
