Our Sweet Feebee

Last April we went to Atlanta Pet Rescue to find a small dog, after going to the humane society in our area and not having any luck. Looking for a dog was very sad, because all the dogs we saw looked so sad and helpless and in need of a good home. They would all look up at you with those soulful eyes as if they were saying, "please take me." When we came to Atlanta Pet Rescue, we saw they had many small dogs, so it was hard to decide. When we looked out over all the sweet little dogs, there was one little Shih-tsu by herself back in the corner on a little cot. She wasn't jumping and barking like the others. She looked so sad. They called her Frannie, and said she had just come over from a place in Alabama. They did not know a lot about her, but thought she was about 1 1/2 years old. We went back into a room and they brought her to us. She was so quiet and sweet. She just put her little paws around my neck and I fell in love. We took her home, and my husband, who d
id not want a dog, especially one in the house, also fell in love with her in no time. We were getting over the loss of our daugther from just a year before, and were very lonely. Our daughters children who had been living with us since her separation from her husband, went back to live with their father, and things were very quiet and lonely at home. Our little dog has helped fill some void in our lives. She is so loving and sweet and a wonderful companion. It took no time to train her and she loves us and especially our grandchildren, when they come to visit. Everytime someone comes to visit, she thinks they are coming to see her, and immediatly wants their attention. They all fall in love with her. She has filled our hearts with love and joy. She is our first pet ever, and the best thing that has happened to us in a long time. Thank you Pet Rescue for your good work, and for letting us adopt our sweet little Feebee (that is the name we gave her).
