Fiona & Chandler

As I write this, Fiona (Christa) and Chandler (Billie) are enjoying the mountain air in North Carolina. Fiona is becoming less and less timid each day and has actually barked at passing neighbors as they walk or drive past our cabin. Chandler is a very bright boy and is very inquisitive and very playful. He has a few favorite toys that we brought with us from home and he keeps us busy with them. Even Fiona was seen "playing" with a ball on the screen porch yesterday. Right now both are laid out on the porch with me taking a snooze. We are very pleased that we have been able to provide them with a home. They adjusted very quickly to our home and both have slept through the night since we brought them home. Chandler has been a bit picky about eating, but in the last day or so seems to have found his appetite. Fiona, on the other hand, doesn't have that problem - she loves to eat!!

We took both Fiona and Chandler to to our vet on Monday. Both have kennel cough - Fiona has a terrible case and Fiona also has conjunctivitis. He also told us he thinks Fiona is closer to 10 years old than five, but I know you were relying on the truth from the breeder who surrendered her and we know how that works. We don't really care - we have bonded with them and liove them dearly. It is hard to believe we have not yet had them a week!!!

You all do a great job taking care of and finding homes for so many animals that could end up without someone to love them. You can count on our support from a monetary standpoint as well as any help we can provide with events or from home.

Thanks again for enriching our lives.

Elaine and Jim Guanci
