Minnie (formerly Nilla)

Minnie (formerly Nilla) has been a part of our family for a year (can't believe it's been that long). When we adopted her last June she was in pretty bad shape (photo 1). Within the first few months she made great progress and by six months she was a new dog (photo 2). Her high energy took some getting used to considering our two other dogs are pretty laid back. But she keeps us laughing and brings out the playfulness in her brothers. We can't remember life without her. She LOVES to play and be held. Now if only we can teach her to calm down on cue :-) She's also known for burrowing under the covers when it's time for bed. This is our second adoption through APR (Jojo, a Yorkie, was adopted in 2003 - photo 3). Thank you APR for all the work you do. We're all happier for it!
