Barley Finds a Home and a Friend

My dog, Roxie, was lonely during the days while I was at work. I would come home to find her listless and sad. I decided to get her a buddy. A co-worker was kind enough to tell me about the great people at Atlanta Pet Rescue and once I saw Barley's sweet yet impish face I KNEW she had to be my dog. I filled out the application immediately and waited impatiently to get my appointment to meet Barley. Roxie and I went to the the Atlanta Pet Rescue and Barley was very happy to see us. Barley and Roxie sniffed one another and were a bit shy, but they were very chatty in the car on the way home. For the last couple of months Barley and Roxie have bonded and they share toys, play together and keep each other company while I'm at work. Their favorite game is tug of war and they love to sleep curled together on their fluffy dog bed. Now every day when I come home Barley and Roxie are so happy and they keep close together on our walks. Barley is truly a companion for Roxie and a sweet
lap dog for me. She has been a wonderful addition to our little family despite some early chewing and scratching. We love Barley and can't imagine our lives without her.
