My husband and I adopted a rescue dog, Emma (a lovely bichon poodle mix) in 2008. Emma was used as a breeding dog at a puppy mill and came to us in a very traumatized state. She has really come around and is a lovely spirit. I wanted to help another dog and to see how Emma would do with a companion dog. Several weeks ago I went to Atlanta Pet Rescue and inquired about fostering a dog. I described what qualities I was looking for and was told by several people "You have to meet Cici!" I asked, "Who is Cici?" The next thing I knew, Cici was put into my arms. She is a female toy poodle/terrier mix, three years old and missing her left eye. She is mostly black except for a white marking on her rear end that looks as though a snowflake is permanently deposited there. I fell in love with Cici instantly. She is sweet, loving, funny and spirited. She does just fine with only one eye. She loves to be held and kissed and she also loves to go for walks. She is a miracle. Emma
fell in love with Cici too. I have posted photos of Cici and Emma - one shows them sleeping head to head. (Cici is lying on her back.) It is truly an honor to have these dogs in our lives. We adopted Cici on November 27 - that day was our real "Thanksgiving" for 2010.
